The gifts of Life.
We are all born into this world with a set of amazing gifts. The first gift is the gift of creation. We are all the living proof of that but the applications go far beyond that. Whether we are aware of this gift or not does not matter, for its capacity to manifest itself. The basic understanding shines light on the inherent part of our nature that we are all at the very source of our creations.
The second gift we are all carrying along, is the potential to be alive, to be conscious. The understanding of the first gift invites us to slowly unwrap the second one. It allows us to co-create a life of meaning.
We don’t even have to believe any of this for our gifts to manifest themselves. These gifts are build in from the beginning of the history of mankind. They might as well be considered as the most real elements of our human experience.
Life is suffering.
Only naïvety & ignorance can keep us from realizing that besides our amazing gifts, Life is full of suffering. The story of the Buddha articulates this very strongly in his first noble truth. We deal with many shades of anxiety & at times depression, even if we don’t always allow ourselves to be honest about that. We deal with sickness & experience a vast variety of rather dense emotions while dealing with our desires, needs & wantings.
At some point in our lives, we are confronted with the unavoidable truth that all of this will end. This confrontation is mostly accompanied with the questioning about the meaning of Life.
We are not able to hide or remain ignorant to Life’s sufferings, even though we constructed a wide variety of strategies of protection. We can not escape Life’s challenges but we can co-create a life of meaning as an antidote & put our precious gifts to good use.
The meaning of Life…
Some of us have the tendency to find or need meaning, before engaging into something new. Others take action & find meaning afterwards, … or not. Life itself however has no meaning & is full of meaning at the same time. You, me & all of us are the ones that are able to define the meaning we wish to give it.
Something has meaning when we value it. Values & our belief system are closely linked together as described by the stories of our Partner of Co-creation & Radio Love. Human psychology is very clear about the impact of meaning. We generate positive emotions & create dopamine when we experience ourselves moving towards something we value, something meaningful. It is not the achievement of something meaningful that provides us with any lasting sense of fulfillment. Achievement surely evokes a boost but is never long lived. They are very much like desires & are actually a source of suffering.
Creating a meaningful Life.
The process of Divine Co-creation is a proposition to co-create a life of meaning. A Life that takes care of our human needs & allows us to face Life’s unavoidable sufferings in a worthy & present manner. Some basic understanding, a different Point of View lead to a possible new choice.
We can wait for Life to invite us but these invitations don’t come in an envelope with our name on it. Some of them are kind but many, not so much. We can learn to see Life’s invitations & invite ourselves to the Dance of Life.
